Our winter adventure begins in Tirana, where we leave the lively Albanian capital behind and travel north toward Kosovo, a destination that reveals a particularly magical side of the Balkans during the colder months. As we cross the border the scenery gradually transforms with rolling hills, traditional villages and mountain landscapes creating a beautiful introduction to our winter journey.
Drini i Bardhë Waterfall:
Our first stop takes us to the magnificent Drini i Bardhë Waterfall (White Drin Waterfall), one of Kosovo’s most remarkable natural attractions. The waterfall is closely connected to the nearby Radavc Cave, a fascinating natural formation associated with the source of the White Drin River. We continue to the nearby Peja/Radavc area for a relaxed lunch at a local restaurant (lunch is not included in the price). Here, you can discover the flavours of traditional Kosovar cuisine, with regional dishes and warm hospitality providing an authentic taste of local life.
Peja: Rugova’s Gateway
Following lunch, we make our way to Peja, a destination with a rich cultural and historical heritage. Set against an impressive mountain backdrop, Peja has long served as a gateway to the Rugova region and the surrounding Albanian Alps. As we leave Peja behind, we continue to Rugova region, where the views become more impressive with every kilometre.
Rugova Canyon: Mountain Journey
This canyon has been shaped over thousands of years by geological forces and the flow of the Peja Bistrica River. During winter, fresh snow can transform the canyon into a striking alpine landscape, highlighting the contrast between the limestone cliffs, evergreen forests and white mountain slopes. Along the way, we will have opportunities to pause at suitable viewpoints, depending on road and weather conditions, keep your camera ready, as every turn offers another perspective of the rugged beauty of western Kosovo.
Bogë Alpine Village, the Winter Escape

Known for its peaceful atmosphere and mountain setting, Bogë offers a wonderful escape from the pace of everyday life. Depending on the weather and snow conditions, the surrounding scenery may offer beautiful winter views, making Bogë a particularly memorable place to spend the night.
