Itinerary

Morning: Depart Tirana for Kruja, the legendary center of Albanian resistance against the Ottoman Empire. Visit the Skanderbeg Museum to discover the story of our national hero who defended Europe for 25 years, earning the papal title “Athleta Christi.” Explore the famous Kruja Bazaar filled with traditional handicrafts.

Afternoon: Drive to Shkoder, northern Albania’s cultural capital, beautifully positioned between the largest lake in the Balkans and the Albanian Alps. Walking tour through “Gjuhadol,” a pedestrian area showcasing Italian and Austrian architectural influences. Ascend to Rozafa Castle for breathtaking 360-degree views and ancient Illyrian history.

Evening: Check-in at hotel in Shkoder.

Morning: Cross into Kosovo and arrive in Prizren, the cradle of Kosovar cultural heritage. Walking tour of the enchanting old town featuring the iconic Ottoman stone bridge, historic water fountains, ornate mosques, and Orthodox churches.

Afternoon: Lunch at a traditional Prizren restaurant showcasing homemade regional dishes. Transfer to Rahovec to tour Stone Castle Winery, the largest wine producer in Kosovo and one of the premier vineyards in the Balkans. Enjoy exclusive wine tasting.

Morning: Panoramic tour of Pristina, Kosovo’s vibrant capital. Visit the National Museum (UNESCO site), Skanderbeg Monument, National Theatre, Mother Teresa statue, university district, and the iconic “NEWBORN” monument. Stroll the city promenade.

Afternoon: Cross into North Macedonia and arrive in Skopje. City tour including the historic Railway Station, Mother Teresa Memorial House, the ancient Stone Bridge, Daut Pasha Hammam (Islamic architectural gem), Church of St. Spas, and Kale Fortress. Walking tour through the atmospheric old bazaar.

Evening: Wine tasting at Skovin Winery in the Vardar Valley, which produces 85% of Macedonia’s wine. The vineyard’s gentle slopes (250-600m elevation) create exceptional terroir. Check-in at hotel in Skopje.

Morning: Depart for Mavrovo National Park, stopping first at stunning Matka Canyon and Lake. Optional boat ride to Vrelo Cave, one of nature’s hidden wonders. Continue to Lake Mavrovo for a scenic lakeside walk with optional lunch.

Evening: Overnight in Ohrid.

Drive through Galichica National Park to St. Naum Monastery, perched in a picture-perfect setting above Lake Ohrid. Afternoon: Cross back into Albania, stopping at Drilon National Park near Pogradec. This stunning landscape features crystal-clear springs, lush greenery, and the exclusive “pastrimka” trout species. White swans glide gracefully across small rivers. Continue to Berat.

Evening: Check-in at hotel in Berat.

Morning: Discover Berat, the UNESCO “City of 1,001 Windows.” Walking tour through the historic Mangalemi and Gorica neighborhoods. Ascend to the 4th-century BC fortress overlooking the Osumi Valley. Berat’s unique, white-washed houses appear stacked upon each other. The castle is Albania’s only inhabited fortress, where families live exactly as their ancestors did centuries ago. Explore Byzantine churches within the fortress walls.
