Tour eccellente! Durazzo e Kruja sono due tappe fondamentali in Albania e questa escursione permette di visitarle comodamente in giornata. La guida Berti è stata impeccabile, gentile e preparata, il trasporto comodo e con un buon equilibrio tra visite guidate e tempo libero per esplorare in autonomia. This day trip is one to remember. Berti’s knowledge and passion for his work really shows. The tour is really nicely paced and Berti was totally accommodating to requests and lots of helpful suggestion’s. I hope to return to Albania soon and enjoy other tours with Aria. Todo fue sobre ruedas. Otra empresa nos canceló la excursión ese mismo día por la mañana, llamamos a Aria travel y en menos de 1 hora estábamos montados en la furgoneta de camino a Shköder. Jetmir nuestro guía ha sido encantador, muy atento y ha cumplido todos nuestros deseos y espectativas. El viaje ha durado más de lo previsto por culpa del tráfico y otros asuntos y no ha tenido ningún problema en explicar y enseñar todas las paradas de nuestro tour, siempre alegre y cercano. My husband and I are Canadian seniors who recently completed a private Balkan tour organized by Ara Travel in Albania, and we could not be more pleased with the experience. From the beginning, the company was wonderful to work with. They were very flexible and accommodating, gladly accepting our itinerary and making thoughtful adjustments to ensure everything worked smoothly. Our guide, Albert (“Bertie”), was absolutely outstanding and truly made the trip special. As seniors with some mobility challenges, we deeply appreciated his patience, kindness, and constant attentiveness. He was always ready to help with luggage and bags and made sure we were comfortable at every step of the journey. What really set Bertie apart was his remarkable knowledge. His understanding of the region’s history, politics, and current events was exceptional, and he shared it in such an engaging way that we learned an enormous amount about every country we visited. He also added wonderful personal touches to the trip. Each day he introduced us to local treats and took us to authentic local restaurants, just as we had hoped, giving us a genuine taste of the region. Quite simply, Bertie is one of the best guides we have ever had anywhere in the world. We only wish all of our travel guides could meet his standard. Itinerary

At 8:00am our drive comes and pick you up at your hotel and you drive off roading towards the Bovilla canyons, one of the most beautiful panoramic roads around Tirana. The lake of Bovilla lies on the northeastern side of Tirana, between two mountain ranges. It provides most of the drinking water for Tirana at it is surround by a green nature. Because it is surrounded by mountains and forest, the color of the water looks green to blue. Gamti Mountain There is a small hike, around 20 minutes to the top of Gamti mountain were at the view-point we have breathtaking views that can’t be expressed with words, it only can be experienced. The trail to hike at Gamti mountain balcony, is a simple level where every step gives you a more beautiful view as you reach the top. At the balcony there is an impressive view of the lake and the green hills surrounding it. Time to rest, to enjoy the gorgeous view to talk and to eat food under the shadows of the cave.

After the hike, continue your off-road safari to Qafshtama National Park, a pristine wilderness area located in the heart of the Albanian Alps. This natural treasure offers an opportunity to explore Albania’s rugged, untouched landscapes. The park is known for its dense forests, crystal-clear streams, and breathtaking mountain views.

After this visit we proceed to Kruja center of Albanian resistance against the Ottomans under our National Hero, Scanderbeg. He kept the Ottoman armies from crossing into Western Europe for 25 years, thus earning the title “Athleta Christi” awarded by the Pope of the time. We will visit the Skanderbeg Museum, which is dedicated mostly to the history of the national hero of Albania, Scanderbeg, well-known for the resistance again the Ottoman Empire. Finally, we make our way through Kruja’s famous Bazaar full of traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. We spend some free time on our own before heading back to the capital city. Return to Tirana. End of our service.
