About this tour

Best Places to Visit in Albania – 6 Days Tour

Embark on a journey through Albania’s most iconic destinations, where history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes come together. Starting in Tirana, the vibrant capital, travelers discover Skanderbeg Square, the National History Museum, and the colorful New Bazaar — the perfect introduction to Albania’s energy and heritage. From there, the road leads to Durrës, one of the oldest Adriatic cities, renowned for its Roman amphitheater, archaeological treasures, and sandy beaches. Continuing south, the adventure reaches Vlorë, a historic port city where the Adriatic and Ionian seas meet, offering unforgettable coastal panoramas and sunsets.

The route unfolds along the spectacular Albanian Riviera, famous for turquoise waters, dramatic cliffs, and charming villages. A highlight is Butrint National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where ancient ruins blend with lush Mediterranean nature. Nearby lies Sarandë, a lively seaside town on the Ionian coast, before the journey continues to Gjirokastër, another UNESCO treasure known as the “Stone City,” with Ottoman‑era houses, cobbled streets, and a fortress overlooking the valley.

Exploration of Gjirokastër Castle and its bazaar sets the tone before heading north to Apollonia Archaeological Park, once a thriving Greek and Roman city. The tour then arrives in Berat, the “City of a Thousand and One Windows,” a UNESCO World Heritage Site where white Ottoman houses climb the hillside beneath a medieval fortress. This city offers one of the most authentic cultural experiences in Albania, blending history, architecture, and living traditions.

The final stage includes a deeper look at Berat’s historic neighborhoods and castle before traveling to Belsh, a peaceful town surrounded by lakes that provide a scenic and relaxing stop. The journey concludes back in Tirana, completing a circle through Albania’s most beautiful landscapes, UNESCO sites, and coastal gems.
